Hannah Smith Allen holds an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been exhibited nationwide and is included in several private and public collections. Allen is the recipient of a 2007 Individual Photographer’s Fellowship from the Aaron Siskind Foundation, a 2010 NYFA Artist Fellowship in Photography from the New York Foundation for the Arts, and a 2011 A.I.M. residency at the Bronx Museum of Art. She is currently a 2012-2013 A.I.R. Gallery fellow. Allen lives in Brooklyn, New York and teaches at Adelphi University.
