    Hannah Smith Allen’s photography explores themes of interpretation, history, and meaning. She is a recipient of an Individual Photographer’s Fellowship (IPF) from the Aaron Siskind Foundation (2007) and an Artist Fellowship in Photography from The New York Foundation for the Arts (2010). In Spring 2011, Allen was awarded an AIM artist residency at the Bronx Museum of Art. She has participated in exhibitions produced by the Bronx Museum of Art, The Griffin Museum of Photography, and the Photographic Resource Center. Allen holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She lives in Brooklyn, New York and teaches at Adelphi University.
